General Dentistry

It is recommended that people have professional cleanings at least twice a year to help their mouths stay healthy and disease-free. In certain cases, regular cleaning is not enough and a more advanced cleaning is needed. Full mouth debridement is a first step toward remedying severe plaque buildup or periodontal disease. You may need scaling and root planing after a full mouth debridement to completely rid your teeth and gums of tartar, inflammation, and infection. Deep scaling and root planing treatments help to remove plaque and tartar on tooth and root surfaces below the gumline.

With our expertise, knowledge, and our dedicated staff, we are determined to identify your individual needs and set a Recare System that is right for you and your individual oral health. Daily brushing and flossing will keep dental calculus to a minimum, but a professional cleaning will remove calculus in places your toothbrush and floss have missed. Once cleaned, good home oral hygiene and routine maintenance cleanings will often preserve the attachment to the teeth.
